He has been recruited as the secretary of the organization since its inception and continues to work for the organization. Byishimo Patrick is from South Kivu, Congo. He is a father of three children and has one wife.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from Laurence University. Byishimo is one of those refugees who have spent more than 10 years in exile.
